Update – Two Weeks In
This website/blog was launched on the 6th April 2020.
After almost two weeks I am pleased to announce that posts have been viewed nearly 20,000 times!
The most viewed blog entry was The Art of Deception: Paul McCartney and the Interrupted Cadence, which was viewed 6,000 times on the 17th April.
All this proves to me that there is a interest in Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles career – and that people are eager to know what exactly makes his music so special.
What This Blog Is All About?
This blog is squarely focussed on Paul McCartney’s music, and how it developed during and after The Beatles.
For that reason, you won’t ever find any gossip about what made The Beatles break up, or even why Denny Laine and Paul McCartney parted company. When all of the petty squabbles have faded into history, we will be left with McCartney’s musical legacy.
In my two books (which you can buy from the “shop” page on the website or by clicking on the picture below) I approach each song individually.
This blog allows me to take a more thematic approach, so I can tackle things like the Mixolydian mode across all of McCartney’s songs.
